Welcome to AlaSafe.gov!
AlaSafe.gov is a free and secure government website designed to allow family members
and caregivers of individuals with various forms of dementia the ability to provide information about their
loved ones to authorized Alabama law enforcement officials in the event their loved one wanders or becomes lost.
To register a patient, you will need the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Address (Street Address, City,
State, Zip, and County)
- Date of Birth
- Eye Color
- Hair Color
- Language(s) spoken
- A digital picture of the patient
(no larger than 4MB)
- It will also be helpful to provide
this additional information.
AlaSafe.gov is a project of the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center,
the Alabama state agency which connects local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to the FBI’s National Crime
Information Center (NCIC) and to
|enforcement in all 50 states via Nlets, the International Justice and Public Safety Network.
Access to information entered into AlaSafe.gov is restricted only to
authorized law enforcement personnel through ACJIC’s Alabama Communications and Operations Portal (AlaCOP) and
the Law Enforcement Tactical System (LETS). All transactions are monitored and logged, and it is a violation of
Alabama State law to attempt to enter these sites without possessing the appropriate law enforcement credentials.
Any unauthorized or improper use of AlaCOP and/or LETS will be aggressively prosecuted.
